Oil-Mine Nigeria Limited
OIL-MINE NIGERIA LIMITED is a fake company used in an employment scam by criminals in Nigeria. The job offers are bogus, it's just a way to get the job-seeking victims to send money to the criminals.
The domain "oilminengltd.com" used by the scammers was only registered on 2005-05-14 and is hosted on Microsoft's OfficeLive service, which in June 2007 was hosting over 50% of all new domains seen in Nigerian scams. A second domain also used in the scam, oilmine-ng.com was registered 2007-03-25 and is also hosted at OfficeLive. Both domain were registered using a fake name and address in the USA, not in the name of a business in Nigeria.
The top Google hits for the company name are either scam warnings, job offers by the scammers or hits on their own website. There are no oil-industry related hits except for job offers and queries by job seekers if the company is fake. This is a typical pattern for fake companies used in employment scams.
If you have any suspect email that you want to report or have checked, you can copy and paste the message text into our "Scam-O-Matic" webform for an instant reply.
